Emptiness,(MM)[1] also known as the World of Chaos,(ALttP)[2] is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series. Emptiness goes unnamed in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask 3D.

Features and Overview

Emptiness is a term that refers to the formless chaos that would eventually become the Kingdom of Hyrule. Nothing existed in the Emptiness, not even time,[3] until the Golden Goddesses descended to it from a distant nebula.[4][5] They would create the world of Kingdom of Hyrule before departing and leaving the Triforce in their wake. This happened a great deal of time before any entry in The Legend of Zelda series.[6]
