The Yamatami are a group in Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland.[1]
Characteristics
They are relatively primitive, however they certainly have a "Rupee tooth."[citation needed] Although visitors seldom show up, their entire town is set up as a tourist attraction. But if visitors are not careful, they will gouge them.
History
When Tingle visits them, he finds out that Uncle Rupee had corrupted the Tribe's chieftain.[2] He then decides to venture in to the bowels of the mountain. In the process, he destroys the monster that lives there, and cures the chieftain. Afterwards, the Yamatami Tribe names Tingle as one of their gods, and a statue is erected in his honor.
