Zalta Wa Shrine
The Zalta Wa Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name Two Orbs to Guide You,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.
Entrance to the Shrine
The Zalta Wa Shrine is located in the Breach of Demise in Hyrule Field. It is southeast of the Ridgeland Tower and on the north side of the path. When Link enters, he is greeted by Zalta Wa, the Monk who designed the eponymous Ancient Shrine.[2]
The Zalta Wa Shrine has one large chamber with a Crystal in the center of the room that controls the Tilted Platform embedded in the ground beside it. On the left side of the Tilted Platform is a Floor Switch, which will open the small room on the left side with a Concave Slot inside of it. However, stepping off of the Floor Switch will close the door. On the right side is an Ancient Orb balanced on a pillar next to another Concave Slot.
By shooting the Ancient Orb with an Arrow, Link can knock it into the Concave Slot. Doing so will open the door in the back of the chamber, which reveals another Ancient Orb. While standing on the Floor Switch, Link can throw this Ancient Orb into the room with the Concave Slot. Doing this causes the structure above the room in the back to move in and out.
While standing on the Tilted Platform, Link can hit the Crystal to launch himself into the structure. Following the path up from here, he will eventually come upon the Monk's Pedestal bearing Zalta Wa.
Upon approaching Zalta Wa, the Monk will commend Link for completing the Trial, and they present him with a Spirit Orb as a reward.[3] They will then wish him well before fading away.[4]
A stone Treasure Chest containing a Knight's Bow can be found on top of the enclosed room with the pedestal. Link can reach this Treasure Chest by first activating the moving structure above the Crystal, then by flying down with the Paraglider to the Treasure Chest from the platform above.
Nomenclature
The Shrine's name, Zalta Wa, is a corruption of Satoru Takizawa. Satoru Takizawa is the art director for Breath of the Wild.
