Zelda's Horse is a Horse that Impa has been raising in secret, with the intention of gifting her to Princess Zelda.[3] She is known to love eating Carrots.[4]
Zelda can encounter her Horse at Hyrule Ranch, where she grazes within the Ranch's pasture. If Zelda tries to ride her Horse after completing the Side Quest "Runaway Horse", the Ranch's owner refuses on the basis that she is not theirs to loan out.[5] Similarly, if Zelda attempts to ride her Horse after completing the Main Quest "Still Missing", the owner reveals that she belongs to Impa and cannot be loaned out.[6]
At the beginning of the Side Quest "Impa's Gift", Impa reveals that she has prepared a Horse for Zelda and sends her to Hyrule Ranch to retrieve her.[7] When Zelda arrives at the Ranch, however, her Horse is not there, and Falfa explains that her brother took her out to exercise.[8] At that moment, Falfa's brother returns, and he states that he was riding the Horse near the Carrot Patch when a Rift appeared.[9] Zelda's Horse saved him by throwing him off her back, but she ended up falling into the Still World.[10] At the Carrot Patch, Falfa's brother expresses his desire to save Zelda's Horse, and he begs Zelda to rescue her.[11][12] While Zelda and Tri traverse the Stilled Carrot Patch, they can see Zelda's Horse petrified by the Still World.

After the Rift at the Carrot Patch has been mended, Zelda's Horse is returned to Hyrule. However, she is frightened and ends up fleeing, refusing to return even when Falfa calls for her.[13] Falfa and her brother suggest that Zelda lure her back with a Carrot.[4][14][15] When Zelda pulls a Carrot from the ground using Bind, her Horse will run into the patch and begin eating it. Falfa's brother examines the Horse and determines that she is uninjured, noting that she appears to be happy to meet Zelda.[16] Falfa herself expresses her gratitude for having been able to care for Zelda's Horse.[17]
Once she has received her Horse, Zelda is able to summon her at any time using Echoes of Carrots. Owning a Horse also allows Zelda to participate in Flag Races at Hyrule Ranch.[18][19]
During the Credits, an image is shown of Zelda's Horse outside of Hyrule Castle Town with Impa, a child, and a Soldier.

Oh, hey! What about the carrots? She absolutely LOVES carrot! Maybe the smell of a fresh carrot will get her to come back!

Someone entrusted that mare to us, so we're not loaning her out.
— Hylian (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Ah, apologies! I did say any horse, but Lady Impa left that one with us, and we can't loan her out.
— Hylian (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
To that end, I have news. The past few years, your loyal Impa has been raising you a steed! Of course, when I first began nurturing the foal, I had no idea you'd set off on such adventures! Well! Now you have a loyal steed! I'm sure she'll be a wonderful partner on your travels. Your mare is being cared for at Hyrule Ranch just on the west side of Hyrule Field. So please, ask after her when you've got a spare moment. I'll let the ranchers know to expect you.
— Impa (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Hm? Would you happen to be Princess Zelda? Welcome to Hyrule Ranch, Your Highness! Lady Impa told us to expect you. I'm afraid we don't have your horse here at the moment. My brother took her out for some exercise. But not to worry! They should be back soon.

Disaster! We were at the carrot patch northwest of Hyrule Castle, and a rift opened up!
— Hylian (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
The horse threw me off her back to protect me, but she got caught in the rift!
— Hylian (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
That mare, she saved me. We have to get her back...

That mare, she saved me... Please, Princess! You have to bring her back!
— Hylian (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
But, Falfa! I don't see Princess Zelda's horse anywhere!
— Hylian (Echoes of Wisdom)Poor thing. Must be frightened and hiding somewhere. Heyyy! Come on back now, horsey! Hmm... She's not coming, is she...
— Falfa (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
You can try giving her a carrot. I'm sure she'd appreciate getting one from you, Your Highness.
— Falfa (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Princess Zelda, how about you give her a carrot? She loves them! I think that might be enough for her to calm down and come back here.
— Hylian (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
All right! Seems like she's in good shape. I don't see any injuries. And she's clearly happy to meet her new companion!
— Hylian (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
You've been quite gracious to help us, Princess. Now she's yours to take with you. I'm grateful Lady Impa brought this mare into our lives.
— Falfa (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Oh, I should say! Have you heard of Flag Races? They're races hosted by Hyrule Ranch. You have to bring your own horse to participate. Please, feel free to drop by Hyrule Ranch if you're interested.
— Falfa (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
If you'd like to take part in a Flag Race, please stop by while riding your white horse.
