Three years after the events of The Legend of Zelda (Mishouzaki), Link plans to travel to the North Castle, but along the way he is attacked by demons. Luckily, Princess Zelda shows up to save him and she and Impa care for him until he recovers. Princess Zelda then chooses accompanies Link to the North Castle. There, they meet Princess Zelda from The Adventure of Link who tells the pair her story.
