Zora Tunic
A diving tunic woven with Zora techniques. It allows the wearer to breathe underwater.

In Ocarina of Time, the Zora Tunic allows Link to breathe underwater.[6] It is mostly used in conjunction with the Iron Boots and is essential when exploring the Water Temple. Unlike the Goron Tunic, it does not offer any defense bonuses. The Tunic can be stolen by a Like Like if Link is still wearing it when he gets spit out.

The Tunic can be bought at the Zora Shop for 300 Rupees, or it can be given to Link by the King Zora when he unfreezes him from the Red Ice using Blue Fire.[7]

The Zora Tunic is made out of fish gills,[8] although aesthetically it looks completely identical to the other tunics in the game, with color being the only difference. The Zora supplied several Zora Tunics in service of the King of Hyrule's Hylian water inspectors to help them clean the bed of Zora's River.[8]

Twilight Princess

In Twilight Princess, the Zora Armor is given to Link by Rutela after delivering Ralis to Kakariko Village safely. It is located behind the Kakariko Village Graveyard under the tomb of the King Zora, its creator.[9][10]

When equipped, the Zora Armor allows Link to breathe and swim underwater.[11] If combined with the Iron Boots, Link can walk deep on riverbeds. However, wearing the armor makes Link take 10 times the damage from Fire and Ice attacks.[12] (Including falling in Lava or freezing Water)

The Zora Armor itself is made of Zora scales in a scale mail arrangement,[citation needed] and includes a mask that Link pulls over his face while underwater.

In Breath of the Wild, the Zora Armor was hand crafted specifically for Link as a symbol of love by the Zora princess and Champion, Mipha.[13][14] Link receives it from King Dorephan 100 years later when first visiting Zora's Domain. If Link's pouch is full, he will receive it after making space in the inventory.[15]

When worn, the Zora Armor provides one level of Swim Speed Up and grants Link the ability to Swim Up Waterfalls.[2] The Armor can be enhanced by a Great Fairy and can be Dyed at the Kochi Dye Shop. The Zora Armor, alongside the Zora Helm and the Zora Greaves, compose the Zora Set. When each piece of the Set has been enhanced at least two times by a Great Fairy and the full Set is worn, it provides the Swim Dash Stamina Up Set Bonus. Unlike most armor, however, this Set cannot be sold due to the Armor's unique story behind it.

The Armor itself consists of a large full breastplate, a set of scale mail covering the shoulders and part of Link's back, two pauldrons made from steel, and bracers made from a combination of silver and steel plates.

A Maiden's Prayer
I have heard that an important part of the process of crafting Zora Armor is a prayer for the safety of a loved one. Apparently, Mipha often came to this place to work on armor she made for Link. However, in the end she left the armor with King Dorephan... Perhaps she knew she would not be able to hand it to Link herself.
