Green Guard

From Zelda Wiki, the Zelda encyclopedia

Green Guards are Enemies in Cadence of Hyrule.[1]

Characteristics

Green Guards are are enemies that move to the beat of the music in a circular pattern, always crouching for one beat before hopping onto an adjacent tile on the second beat. When they detect Cadence, Link, Yves, or Zelda's presence, they will become aggressive and try to chase them. Their strong shields prevent frontal attacks, forcing the heroes to either flank them or use the Great Bow or Fragarach, or equip the Ring of Piercing before attempting to engage in battle.

When passive, sometimes their circular path is cut off by an enemy or object, which will cause them to hop away and attempt to form a new path.
