The interior of Mayanas Shrine

The entrance chamber to the Shrine features a ramp down into a pool of Water. Surrounding this pool are several Ice Fruit Trees and Frost Emitters, which allow Link to create slabs of Ice by using them on the pool. Metal Plates can also be found along the floor near the pool. To the right of the pool is another room blocked by a portcullis and beyond the pool there is another ramp down into a field of Spikes. At the end of these Spikes, there is a moving bullseye that must be struck in order to open the portcullis to the adjacent room. The Metal Plates are too heavy to slide effectively down the ramp. However, by creating slabs of Ice, Link can slide them down the ramp and over the Spikes with proper timing to strike the bullseye. Alternatively, any strong impact such as those created by Bomb Flowers will also activate them.

In the adjacent room, the end of the Shrine is accessible right away. However, an identical pool arrangement can be seen just beyond it. Beyond the pool, there is a cell with a Treasure Chest blocked by a portcullis, and to the left of the pool there is another ramp leading to a sloped field of Spikes that sits over a second bullseye facing the ceiling. Two floating dispensers sit above the ramp, which replenish the Metal Plates along the floor if any of them are lost. By striking the second bullseye, the portcullis will lift and give Link access to the cell.

A Statue of Rauru and Sonia can be found at the end of the Mayanas Shrine. By interacting with the Terminal in front of the Statue, Link can receive a Light of Blessing to cleanse the corruption of Darkness from within him.[3][4]
