Guardian Shields++ are Shields that can be found in "A Major Test of Strength" Ancient Shrines, where they are used by Guardian Scouts IV. They can also be found in Treasure Chests that spawn when the Breath of the Wild Series Guardian amiibo is scanned with the amiibo Rune. They are upgraded Guardian Shields that have had their output levels boosted to the maximum.[1] Guardian Shields++ belong to the Guardian Gear equipment archetype.[2] Their combat abilities are said to surpass those of metallic Shields, and they are capable of deflecting the beams of Guardian Scouts and other Guardians.[1]
As they are made from Ancient Technology, Guardian Shields++ will float if they are dropped in Water. In addition, they will not burn if they are exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate, and they will not conduct Electricity or attract Lightning during Thunderstorms. They also cannot be manipulated by the Magnesis Rune.
