Staldra appear as a common enemy in Skyward Sword. They can be found in the Skyview Temple and the Lanayru Mining Facility. Link must use his sword to cut off all the heads at once, as they will grow back if he doesn't.<ref>{{Cite|This is a snake monster from before the dawn of time. ==Trivia==
SSHD are skeletal Lernean Hydra located in the SSHD and SSHD. They are able to regenerate their heads when one is cut off.
*Staldra is a portmanteau of "Stal" and "Hydra". Stal is a prefix used to denote skeletal creatures, such as the Stalfos.
*Gleeoks are similar, multi-headed creatures.
* It is possible to kill the beast with a bomb if all the heads are looking in the direction of the bomb.

Upon encountering an SSHD, SSHD will begin moving their heads in various patterns as they confront them, before lunging at their foes in attack. Their heads will align themselves in a horizontal, diagonal, or an uneven position. SSHD can only defeat them by destroying all three heads at once, otherwise the decapitated heads will quickly regenerate. Because of this, they can only be defeated when they align their heads in an even position where SSHD can slice through all three at once.

An easy way to defeat SSHD is to SSHD them when they lunge, then attack while they are stunned. It is possible to kill SSHD with SSHD if all the heads are looking in the direction of the SSHD. Upon defeat, SSHD will drop a single SSHD.
