==Features and Overview==
==Features and Overview==
==={{SS|-}}===
{{Plural|SS|Monster Stronghold}} are encampments scattered throughout the {{Term|SS|Eldin Volcano|link}} in the {{Term|SS|Eldin Province|link}} in {{SS}}. They are usually inhabited by {{Plural|SS|Bokoblin|link}} who live in crude tents, though {{Plural|SS|Moblin|link}} can also appear. {{Plural|SS|Monster Stronghold}} typically have towers occupied by {{Term|SS|Bokoblin}} sentries who watch for intruders and alert the inhabitants when one is spotted. These towers can be toppled with {{Plural|SS|Bomb|link}}, dispatching the sentries atop them.
After {{Term|SS|Eldin Volcano}} erupts, {{Plural|SS|Bokoblin}} occupy the entire mountain, converting it into one massive {{Term|SS|Monster Stronghold}}. {{Plural|SS|Monster Stronghold}} can be found east of {{Term|SS|Volcano East|link}}, outside the entrance to the {{Term|SS|Thrill Digger}} {{Term|SS|Mini-Game|link}}, and east of the {{Term|SS|Temple Entrance|link}}.
Later in the game, all of the {{Plural|SS|Monster Stronghold}} are abandoned, so {{Term|SS|Kortz|link}} decides to take residence inside one of the huts,<ref>{{Cite|Hey! Welcome to my place! Make yourself at home. What? Of course this is my house! OK, OK, those red creeps built it, but... They split, right? So what's the harm? Us Mogmas live in the ground, so we don't have what you would call "houses." I just wanted to see what it felt like to say "Welcome to my place!"|Kortz|SS}}</ref><ref>{{Cite|Back again, huh? Don't mind me or anything--it's just MY HOUSE! What? What do you mean I didn't have to tunnel all the way up here? Look, I know it's a run-down, dirty hovel, but it's MINE! And I want to know who's dropping by my dirty hovel. Oh, and just 'cause you're all rested doesn't mean you can roll around and bust the place up!|Kortz|SS}}</ref><ref>{{Cite|Do me a favor, will ya? Try not to go crazy and roll around all over the place. Dust bunnies, ya know?|Kortz|SS}}</ref> while {{Term|SS|Merco|link}} can be found outside, wondering what {{Plural|SS|Bokoblin}} eat.<ref>{{Cite|Just curious, but...what do ya think those red guys eat, anyway?|Merco|SS}}</ref>
==={{BotW|-}}===
{{Plural|BotW|Monster Stronghold}} are distributed throughout {{Term|BotW|Hyrule|link}} in {{BotW}}. They come in many forms, but the most common are wooden platforms surrounding {{Plural|BotW|Tree|link}} and large skull-shaped rocks. {{Plural|BotW|Monster Stronghold|display= Strongholds}} may contain {{Plural|BotW|Barrel|link}}, {{Plural|BotW|Bomb Barrel|link}}, and {{Plural|BotW|Treasure Chest|link}}. {{Plural|BotW|Outpost Chest|link}} are commonly found in skull-shaped {{Plural|BotW|Monster Stronghold}} and can only be opened when all {{Plural|BotW|Enemy}} in the {{Term|BotW|Monster Stronghold|display=Stronghold}} are defeated.
==={{TotK|-}}===
{{Main|Battle Talus, Monster Fort, Pirate Ship}}
{{Plural|TotK|Monster Stronghold}} appear throughout {{Term|TotK|Hyrule|link}} and are often guarded by {{Plural|TotK|Aerocuda|link}}. Additional types of {{Term|TotK|Monster Stronghold}} also appear, with various purposes. {{Plural|TotK|Battle Talus|link}} function as mobile {{Plural|TotK|Monster Stronghold}}, while larger {{Plural|TotK|Monster Fort|link}} are stationed in various areas and provide protection from all sides. {{Plural|TotK|Pirate Ship|link}} are used by {{Plural|TotK|Monster|link}} to assail {{Term|TotK|Hyrule}}'s waterways and are protected from ground assaults due to their positions in water.
