Blue Hinoxes make their first appearance as a mini boss in Turtle Rock and act the same as other Hinoxes in the game, right down to requiring 2 Bombs to defeat. It is not the dungeon's "true" mini-boss however, as it will respawn when Link leaves and later re-enters the room. Once Link obtains the Magic Rod, he can make short work of it, like many other enemies in the game.

In -, BotW are a stronger variation of the regular BotW found in BotW and the BotW. They spend most of their time asleep, but if BotW disturbs one, it will wake up and begin to attack him. Unlike regular BotW, they wear wooden greaves, though they can easily be burned away with flame-based weaponry. As is the case with all BotW, they are vulnerable to damage to their eyes. When defeated, BotW drop BotW, BotW, BotW, and a variety of seafood.

Several quests involve encounters with BotW. "BotW" BotW has three BotW on BotW guarding BotW that must be used to unlock the BotW. Of these BotW, the BotW, which can be found in BotW, is a BotW. The "BotW" similarly requires BotW to obtain the Orb carried by a BotW in the BotW, which is used to unlock the BotW that lies behind the BotW itself. The "BotW" also requires BotW to take an BotW from the BotW on BotW, which is used to unlock the BotW. Lastly, after freeing BotW from BotW, BotW can grant "BotW" BotW, which requires BotW to defeat the BotW at BotW.

Once BotW defeats BotW for the first time, he is able to ask BotW at the BotW about BotW. If BotW does so, BotW asks him to defeat all BotW in BotW so he can examine their scent. This count includes all BotW. When BotW returns to BotW after completing his request, he will receive the BotW as a reward. BotW's research allows him to discover the dietary preferences of each type of BotW.
