The {{Term|OoS|Ancient Ruins}} are five stories high, the most of any {{Term|OoS|Dungeon}} in {{Term|OoS|Holodrum}}. This often necessitates the use of {{Plural|OoS|Trampoline|link}} to go between floors. It features sand-colored floors and walls, creating an {{Wp|Ancient Egypt}}-style sense of design. There are many sections of flooring throughout the {{Term|OoS|Dungeon}} that crumbles under {{Term|OoS|Link}}'s weight, causing him to plummet to his death if he stands in one spot for too long. There is also a section where a {{Term|OoS|Compactor|link}} begins to close the walls in when {{Term|OoS|Link}} enters, which will result in an instant {{Term|OoS|Game Over|link}} should {{Term|OoS|Link}} be caught.

There are many bombable walls throughout the {{Term|OoS|Dungeon}}. One of these walls leads to an unmarked room on the map where a total of 100 {{Plural|OoS|Rupee|link}} are strewn across the floor. Progressing through the {{Term|OoS|Dungeon}} requires extensive use of the {{Term|OoS|Roc's Feather|link}}, {{Plural|OoS|Magnetic Glove|link}}, and the {{Term|OoS|Magical Boomerang|link}}. The {{Term|OoS|Mini-Boss|link}} of the {{Term|OoS|Dungeon}} is {{Term|OoS|Vire|link}}, {{Term|OoS|General Onox|link}}'s loyal henchman. Using the {{Term|OoS|Boss Key|link}} found within the {{Term|OoS|Dungeon}}, {{Term|OoS|Link}} faces {{Term|OoS|Manhandla|link}} in the {{Term|OoS|Boss Room|link}} on the top floor of the {{Term|OoS|Dungeon}}. After defeating {{Term|OoS|Manhandla}} and obtaining the {{Term|OoS|Heart Container|link}}, a set of {{Plural|OoS|Stair|link}} to the very top of the tower appears. It is here, at the highest point in all of {{Term|OoS|Holodrum}}, that {{Term|OoS|Link}} obtains his sixth {{Term|OoS|Essence of Nature|link}}.
