This is a part of the Gerudo Desert. Link enters the mirror chamber in Twilight Princess. The Mirror Chamber is a room located above the Arbiter's Grounds, but Link cannot gain access until after he defeats Stallord, the dungeon's boss. When Link and Midna first enter the Mirror Chamber, they find the Mirror of Twilight broken, but the broken pieces are no where to be found. Midna explains how the mirror allows people from the light world and denizens of the Twilight Realm to pass through freely between both worlds. It was originally created by the gods to send the world's most evil and wicked villians to the Twilight Realm, a prison where none could escape. This is where they also learn about another evil villian, one who was unable to be contained and escaped the grasp of the ancient sages. A man of the Gerudo Tribe by the name of Ganondorf.

The is a location in TP. It is an ancient, open-air atrium located above the Arbiter's Grounds that houses not only the Sages, but also the Mirror of Twilight and is thus the only entrance to the Twilight Realm. Link cannot gain access to the Mirror Chamber until after he defeats Stallord, the boss of the Arbiter's Grounds.

The five sages appear and describe how the broken mirror is the evil work of the evil one known as Zant. From this point, Link and Midna begin a new quest in order to retrieve three missing mirror shards to repair the mirror.
Features and Overview
The Mirror Chamber resembles the Colosseum in structure and boasts six large equidistant spires that serve as symbolic insignias of the Sages that oversee the chamber. One of the spire tops is shattered, symbolizing the death of the Water Sage at the hands of Ganondorf.

Upon returning with the three missing shards, Link and Midna repair the mirror. Midna tells a short, but upseting tale of how she was trying to use Link to help return her world, the Twilight Realm, to order. It was a peaceful place until Zant overthrew Midna, the Twilight Princess, and claimed the throne as his. From this point, Link begins his journey into the Twilight Realm once more. The mirror takes him to an area of the realm he has never been to before. It is also here that the eighth dungeon, the Palace of Twilight, lies, and where Link must put an end to the evil emperor Zant.
Prior to the events of -, Ganondorf was subject to trial and sentenced to death by the Seven Sages in the Mirror Chamber. However, despite having been struck by the Sword of the Sages in an attempt to execute him, Ganondorf was able to break free of his shackles using the Triforce of Power, killing the Sage of Water in the process. The Sages then quickly proceeded to send Ganondorf to the Twilight Realm via the Mirror of Twilight, located at the rear of the chamber.

When Link arrives at the Chamber, only a statue resembling the Goddess of Sand resides within, with no indication of the Mirror of Twilight or the large, black monolith that had chained Ganondorf in the past. After riding atop the statue and using the Spinner at the apex of the large structure, the statue itself dips into the sand, raising not only the black stone, but the Mirror of Twilight itself. However, Link and Midna discover that only one-quarter of the Mirror is intact. The Sages appear to the duo on their respective spires and explain that Zant has fragmented the Mirror with the help of Ganondorf's magic while failing to completely shatter it due to him being the false king of the Twilight Realm. The Sages then reveal the locations of the three missing Mirror Shards: Snowpeak, Sacred Grove, and the City in the Sky. After Link and Midna succeed in gathering the three Mirror Shards, they return to the Mirror Chamber to reassemble the Mirror of Twilight and enter the Twilight Realm to ultimately defeat Zant.

During the ending credits, Link, Princess Zelda and Midna gather at the Mirror Chamber to say their goodbyes as the Twilight Princess returns to her realm. However, just as she is about to depart, she sheds a tear and uses it to completely shatter the Mirror of Twilight, thus destroying the only connection between Hyrule and the Twilight Realm.
