The Sail can be purchased from [[Zunari]] on [[Windfall Island]] for 80 [[Rupee]]s. It allows [[Link]] to catch prevailing winds to sail from island to island. It can only be used while onboard the [[King of Red Lions]]. If the Sail is used in an area with no wind, it will have no effect on the King of Red Lions.

The sail is the item which allows Link to catch prevailing winds, controlled by the [[Wind Waker (Item)| Wind Waker]], to sail from island to island. In the Gamecube version of ''The Wind Waker'', many players believed the speed at which the King of Red Lions sailed was too slow, which made traveling from island to island a tedious process. In a 2013 Nintendo Direct, Director Eiji Aonuma addressed this issue and explained that the sailing speed was deliberate, in order to allow the Gamecube to properly load the ocean in time.
