Ganon himself first appears after [[Blind the Thief]] successfully causes discord between Link and his allies in his Maiden disguise. Despite a harrowing fight and seemingly killing him, "Ganon" is revealed to be a Golem Replica with the real King of Evil still sealed until the Master Sword's power can break the Maiden's seal. After Agahnim is defeated again, the seal starts to weaken as the real Ganon begins to regain his strength, while Link stays behind in the Dark World to fight him after finishing off the rest of his minions. When Link finally encounters Ganon for real in the Pyramid of Power, the King of Evil himself is surprised that the Master Sword is in the hands of a child, but nonetheless vows to crush Link to the bones, starting off with a shockwave. Link attacks with a Spin Attack, however Ganon brushes it off and fires blasts from his Trident, while Link tries stabbing him, though he gets thrown aside. Link fires off the Light balls warning Ganon not to get too cocky and attacks him again, but Ganon is still standing strong. He uses the secret technique of Darkness and attacks Link just like he did with the previous Hero 600 years ago. Gravely wounded, Link manages to gain strength from within from his friends and his Uncle, stating to Ganon that he will never win because he's all alone, and manages to attack him even when he is covered by darkness. Despite another beating from the King of Evil, Link still stands strong himself due to reflecting his dark magic and attacks again, managing to pierce his body more effectively than the Hero from 600 years ago. Ganon curses why he lost to a child, while Link says that a heroic heart has nothing to do with age and wishes on the Triforce. | ||
