-note: this part may be confusing. gens 3 and 4 intersect. gen 3 link is link from oot,mm,and oos. gen 4 link is link from fs,and ooa. since mm and oox take place in lands other than hyrule, gen 3 and 4 link are in different lands at the same time. for oox the links simply switch off. zelda on the other hand, is the same in both gens instead of just one this time.
