Mineru is the older sister of Rauru and another one of the Zonai. Her unique power over spirits is enhanced by her Secret Stone, allowing her to separate her spirit from her body. As a researcher, she is fascinated and deeply knowledgeable about the Zonai's history and technology, and seeks to create constructs as new bodies to store her spirit in should her original body pass away. It is Mineru who informs Zelda of the forbidden process of draconification, the consumption of a Secret Stone to obtain immortality at the cost of one's own humanity, but she cautions Zelda against utilizing the ritual.

Zelda hands the Purah Pad off to a [[Steward Construct]] to give to Link in the future, with the intention that Mineru will immediately lead Link to her construct body and Secret Stone before catching him up on what occurred. However, due to interference from Ganondorf, Mineru's planned construct body is [[Seized Construct|seized]] by [[Gloom]] and Mineru is unable to get in contact with him until he finds a new construct's head on [[~~Dragon-Head~~ Island]], far above the [[Faron (Region)|Faron region]].
