The Kakariko Gorge is a large canyon to the southwest (southeast for Wii) of Kakariko Village in Twilight Princess. The gorge goes around Kakariko Village, through the Eldin plains, around Hyrule Castle Town, and around Death Mountain. The Zora's River flows right through the Gorge.
During Link's first visit, the Kakariko Gorge Bridge is missing, but it can be found in Faron Woods. After defeating the Shadow Beasts there, a portal, which is needed to bring the bridge back, is created. Midna later uses her powers to move the bridge back to its original location. This area is part of the Eldin Province's portion of Hyrule Field.
