Captain Krin was one of the Soldier Captains at the North Castle. When Link's fairy, Miff, had a vision that Princess Zelda was in danger, he sent Captain Krin and his men to search for her.[1] A while after they leave, an impostor of Krin arrives at the North Castle. He tells Link that he and was men were ambushed,[2] and that he is the only survivor,[3]. He also reveals that the village of Rauru has been burned,[4] and that only one who can save he princess is Link. He attempted to get Link to leave to leave the castle, so that he could take over without resistance, but Link refused, knowing that something was wrong.[5] In anger, Krin strikes Link, calling him a coward.[6]. A magic signal then appears, with Zelda calling for Link to come to her aid.[7] Before Link can respond, the message cuts out.[8] As Link once more refuses to leave the castle, Krin tells him that he has let her down,[9] and leaves the castle, presumably to find the princess. Later on in the day, the real Captain Krin and his men return unharmed with Princess Zelda and Impa with them.
