*Both the names Hilda and Zelda come from the same Germanic root element, "hild," meaning "battle."
*Hilda is similar to Midna from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, in that both are royalty who desire something from Hyrule in order to save their own realms - Midna wants the Fused Shadows in order to defeat Zant, while Hilda is seeking to take Hyrule's Triforce in order to counter the destruction of its Lorulean counterpart. Both characters also use Link and Zelda as pawns in their plans are uncaring as to the fate Hyrule would suffer if they were to succeed.
**However, unlike Midna, Hilda is eventually exposed as working in league with the antagonist and even orders Yuga to kill Link in order to claim the Triforce of Courage. She does, however, change her ways and sends Link and Zelda, along with the Triforce, back to Hyrule, who compensate by using to restore Lorule to its former state.

Template:Character Princess Hilda is a character appearing in A Link Between Worlds. She wields a staff with an inverted, tetrahedron Triforce floating at the tip. She has red eyes and an attire that greatly resembles Zelda's, but with a dark purple color scheme that matches her hair, with the triforce in her attire and earrings positioned upside down. She acts as an anti-villain in the game who wants Hyrule's Triforce in order to restore her kingdom.
