Template:Place The Knight Academy is a location on Skyloft where young students live and train to become knights once they graduate.[1] Attached to the academy is a sparring hall, where students can go to improve their sword skills. The headmaster of the academy is Gaepora and some of the enrolled students include Link, Groose, Cawlin, Strich, Zelda and Karane. Besides these enrolled students, there are three other graduated knights: one of them being Pipit while the others are nameless knights that on occasion save Link whenever he falls off the ledge of Skyloft at night or without a proper leap.
Overview
The main building consists of two floors, with the kitchen, the restroom, the Academy's solo classroom, and the male dormitories on the bottom level, while Headmaster Gaepora's office, a bathroom, the female dormitories and instructor Owlan and instructor Horwell's rooms on the second level. There is an exit on each floor, though the entrance on the first floor is locked at night, forcing Link to use the upper entrance. Karane's room and Zelda's room are separated by only a wooden panel, making it possible to see a small amount of each other's room through the gap.
Most of the rooms in the Knight Academy are accesible, with the exception of the bathroom in the upper floor at night, Headmaster Gaepora's office on occasions, and Zelda's room, although Zelda's room may be entered through the chimney outside after acquiring the Clawshot.
Trivia
- During the events of Skyward Sword, the Knight Academy celebrates its 25th anniversary,[2] in reference to the year of The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary during which the game was released.
- It is implied by Headmaster Gaepora that the color of the knights' tunics changes every year, suggesting Link's traditional tunic may have been selected green at random.
- If Link sits on the toilet in the bathroom, once he stands the player will hear the sound of a flushing toilet.
