Ixbran posted elements and weapon names for Ganon and the Cucco's weapons, and cited two videos after I asked him for sources. I've now had a chance to confirm what the videos show, and while it shows gameplay that indicates certain elements, it does not state them explicitly, and the weapons are not given names. It appears the weapon names have already been removed, but the elements are still present. This methodology was previously used by the same editor to determine an element for Tingle's balloon that turned out to be false, which caused a previous edit war when people came in to correct it. I don't want to edit war, so I stated that I'd wait for staff determination on this -- is it the staff's opinion that the gameplay in the cited videos is strong enough evidence to post the calculated elements, or should the elements/weapon field be left TBD until we get something more explicit?[[User:KrytenKoro|KrytenKoro]] ([[User talk:KrytenKoro|talk]]) 23:43, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

Sword

How come the Scimitar of Twilight page capitalizes Sword?KrytenKoro (talk) 14:26, 21 January 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

We normally capitalize some of the main items such as Bombs, the Boomerang, or in this case, the Sword. - Chuck * (Talk) 22:23, 21 January 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ah, okay. Would it be okay to replace those instances with "Scimitar", to clarify what the thing is classified as?KrytenKoro (talk) 22:53, 21 January 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Even though it does not look like one, I guess it's better to refer to it as one since that's how it is called in-game. - Chuck * (Talk) 02:56, 22 January 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Fierce Deity

...sweet jumping jehosaphats, they found a way to keep from me the one Zelda trivia I've wanted for nearly two decades, the name of that bloody sword.

Anyway, thanks for providing that source!KrytenKoro (talk) 00:40, 30 January 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

No problem. And yeah, it's kinda disappointing that they just straight ignored naming it, especially given the popularity of the FD. Oh well, maybe next time. - Chuck * (Talk) 07:33, 30 January 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hyrule Warriors Ganon and Cucco

Ixbran posted elements and weapon names for Ganon and the Cucco's weapons, and cited two videos after I asked him for sources. I've now had a chance to confirm what the videos show, and while it shows gameplay that indicates certain elements, it does not state them explicitly, and the weapons are not given names. It appears the weapon names have already been removed, but the elements are still present. This methodology was previously used by the same editor to determine an element for Tingle's balloon that turned out to be false, which caused a previous edit war (by me defending his turns-out-incompletely-sourced edit from people who, while correct, weren't providing sources at all) when people came in to correct it. I don't want to edit war, so I stated that I'd wait for staff determination on this -- is it the staff's opinion that the gameplay in the cited videos is strong enough evidence to post the calculated elements, or should the elements/weapon field be left TBD until we get something more explicit?KrytenKoro (talk) 23:43, 5 March 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
