Blind is a thief in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. In the light world, you can speak to someone in Kakariko Village who talks about him, but he says that Blind is male.

The statue in the Village of Outcasts, which would be the statue of the bird in Kakariko village, is a dungeon, easily accesible, by walking up to it and pressing 'A' (on the GBA). You have to rescue a young girl, who asks you to take her outside. You try to go outside, but she says "No, not this way.". This means you have to go to a big empty room, which has a ray of light in it. Walk into the ray of light, then she says that it is too bright, and turns into a big monster: the fourth boss of the dark world. The item available is the Titan's Mitt, allowing you to lift up rocks you couldn't before.

In Kakariko village, you can go to his light world hideout, where if you go downstairs, you get lots of chests. If you go to the top of the room, you find a crack in the wall. Blow it up, and you get lots of chests full of rupees.
