Zelda Wiki:Becoming a Part of Zelda Wiki

So, you want your site to use ZW.org as its wiki? Smart move. ;)

Zelda Wiki.org, if you did not already know, is a big collaborative project between many Zelda sites, no matter what the size. We aim for the creation of one definitive Zelda Wiki across the internet, instead of many scattered useless ones. A few of the sites that use this Wiki previously had smaller or failing Wikis of their own. This is not to say you must have had a wiki previously to join up - in fact, it might be good that you haven't. Maybe you just want a wiki for your Zelda site.

ZW.org uses a special kind of affiliation that we call "true" affiliation. That is, it is literally one site helping another site. We all help each other. ZW.org helps your site, and you help ZW.org - we don't do it because that's what we agreed upon, but because we want to. And we always want to, so we'll never say, "Eh, let's not help that one guy. His site isn't as nice." The moment you hear that out of someone is the moment the entire foundation of this wiki collapses.

That being said, you should be enthusiastic about helping the wiki out if you want your site to be a part of it. Remember, this is a collaborative project - we're nothing without the sites that make us up. We accept everyone, and all you have to do to get your site into the list of wiki-connected Zelda sites is send an email to jason [at] zeldawiki.org, and act a little enthusiastic. Hopefully one day Zelda Wiki.org will be run by enough sites to be such a collaborative project that it truly becomes the definitive wiki-based database of Zelda information.
