Cawlin, along with Strich, is are Student at the Knight Academy and a friend and henchman to Link's personal rival, Groose. He, Groose and Stritch have a reputation for being bullies.

Cawlin has a crush on Karane and asks Link to deliver a love letter he wrote to her.[1]
