If the light force is not the triforce than why is it shaped like a triangle in the picture?Robeluke 02:17, 24 April 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

There are references on the walls and shields in TMC to the Triforce. This means that the Light Force cannot be the Triforce. The shape of a triangle is sometimes associated with strength. This may be why the Triforce itself is a triangle.--Matt 04:16, 24 April 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Not to mention that not everything that happens to be shaped like a triangle is automatically a Triforce. Ever heard of Force Gems? TheNintendOtaku 23:50, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

do you mean in the game the triangle shape is referred to as strength or ...in our world

Anyways I believe that the light force is just the triforce of wisdom...why else would it be held by princess Zelda...although The Hero of Men received it we don't know what he did with it...maybe someone else used it and helped him like zelda has helped link in some games.

Also this could work since in the original zelda games the triforce of courage wasn't even known in the land of hyrule..only wisdom and power...although it doesn't explain why the triforce appears in the Minish cap on all the tapestries...but since they never mentioned anything about a triforce maybe everyone has forgotten what it really is.....o by the way this only works if TMC is not set as the first game ( cuz I dont believe that 100% )--Remo 03:04, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

There were also Triforce designs used for purely aesthetic reasons in Majora's Mask, another game in which the relic was seemingly unknown. Same goes for Wind Waker to a lesser extent. TheNintendOtaku 23:50, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Theory

Theory
start
Origin of the Light Force
In order to set her plans in motion, which should result into the permanent distruction of Demise, a gravely injured Hylia abandoned her divine form. In the process, her divinity manifested into the Light Force, which she intrusted to the minish. As she died, the minish took the divine force gem back to their world, only to return it eras later to the descendants of Hylia, in a time of need, where the Master Sword and the Triforce were forgotten from the memory of the Hyruleans after the Era of Chaos.

I removed this from the page, as the format for theories on this wiki is to write them from an out-universe perspective, presenting supporting evidence and noting the origin of the theory, rather than to write it as if it was in-universe fact. Please rewrite this section and repost to the article.KrytenKoro (talk) 21:37, 26 November 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

"Not particularly relevant"

The misconception that the Light Force has anything to do with the Triforce is a major relevant issue. Forums are flooded with fans who are wrong. Hell, this entire talk section is filled with fans who are wrong. In fact, we're encouraging this spread of misinformation by adding a "see also: Triforce" part to the bottom. I'm going to ask again to add the fact that it's a common misconception to the trivia. Dekler (talk) 22:58, 26 November 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I'm pretty certain that the fact that the article is describing something completely different from the Triforce is a giveaway that they are not the same. People misunderstand things all the time. It is not our job to make it painfully obvious to people that X is not Y, the fact that X is not Y is enough. Champion of Nayru (talk) 23:05, 26 November 2013 (UTC)Champion of NayruReply[reply]
That is exactly our job. To make it painfully obvious, because most people are not going to realize the Triforce was sealed in the Temple of Time during the events of the Minish Cap and they're going to keep theorizing that the Light Force is actually the Triforce of Wisdom. This is why we have a Tetraforce section, to prevent people from making the same faulty theories over and over. Adding a small line that says it's impossible for the Light Force to be any part of the Triforce, proof that can only be found in Hyrule Historia and is definitely not common knowledge, will do this article less harm than leaving it up to the reader to draw his or her own conclusions. Would it be a good idea to add trivia to the Link and Zelda pages saying that the playable character is Link, not Zelda? No, that is redundant; the article already makes that clear. The Triforce is clearly stated to be something different. Champion of Nayru (talk) 19:37, 27 November 2013 (UTC)Champion of NayruReply[reply]
