Possible Timeline

Not sure if you will see the link to my visual chart, but here it is. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j161/czarbender/TheLegendofZeldaTimeline.png I'm also a fellow Timeline-ist. It's been driving me crazy, and I guess now that I think I solved it, I'm rather forceful when it comes to having it known. Anyway, short preface, It utilizes the split Timeline theory. Anyway, thank you in advance for reading it. Anytime you wanna chat, write on my talk page. I always like to hear feedback. Czarbender 00:43, 3 August 2007 (PDT)

Interesting thoughts, and a generally cool line. I do, however, have a few concerns;
  • Your chosen placement of the 'Oracles' is common in new theorists, but almost universally considered incorrect by the vets. this page on the wiki explain the argument well.
  • Fourswords adventure (hereafter FSA) references the storyline of Fourswords (FS) in its begining. The most certainly occur in the same timeline, and what's more, series prodcer Eiji Aonuma has stated FSA to be FS's direct sequel.
  • Your decision to place AlttP as the first game post-OOT in the child line may cause you some problems. You do have evidence on your side, but Ocarina -> Wind Waker -> A Link to the Past is by far the more popular conclusion, and frankly there is more evidence that way. Everything about WW speaks of it being a direct sequel to OOT's adult ending (Ganon remebers OOT, people speak of Hero of Time, Triforce is in the state it was immediately post OOT, series creators mention games as sequels, etc.) Stick to your guns if you want, but most forums will have better arguments.
  • Your decision to place FSA post AlttP, again, has some evidence, but goes against popular opinion. Reasons for FSA -> AlttP include Ganon's claiming the trident, the presence of Hylian Knights (dead by AlttP) and the fact that Capcom heads seem to have intended the Four Swords trilogy to preceed the other 2D game. Its another opinion thing where your opinion in the rather great minority.
Again its a pretty good line. Dodges a lot of the mistakes people make when trying to puzzle out the TL on their own, good luck with it!
