"Not to be confused with the Eldin Province from Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, or the Eldin Tower Region from Breath of the Wild."

Okay but why, tho, it's clearly the same concept. By all rights they should be covered on this page.{{SUBST:KrytenKoroSig}} 17:44, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

From what I can gather, Eldin Province from Twilight Princess and from Skyward Sword are confirmed to be the same via Hyrule Historia, whereas Eldin (Region) from Breath of the Wild isn't – so it's considered a separate Term (until some new book comes out and explicitly links them all together). I believe the Eldin Tower Region is also technically separate – I think it has different borders or something, although I'm not 100% sure on that one. – Ceiling Master (talk · contributions)
To clarify the difference between Regions and Tower Regions: Eldin Tower Region is the area mapped by the Eldin Tower-so it covers land all the way to the border of the map, including that canyon dividing Hyrule from the rest of the continent. Eldin, on the other hand, ends at that cliff edge, and is (in-universe) based on geography. All of the Tower Regions have large or subtle differences from their respective Region, and some don’t have such a counterpart at all. – JumbledLimes (talk/contribs) 19:39, 25 March 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
As far as Regions and Tower Regions go, that doesn't really sound like a helpful distinction to readers, to me. For example, I'm not exactly new to Zelda and I wouldn't have thought to look on a separate page for that specific wording, I would have just expected both versions of the region to be on the same page. At best, I'd expect the main article covering them to have split sections in the coverage below -- esp. in BotW, these things are intrinsically linked plot-wise, with many references and details that wouldn't be as clear if they are separated.
As far as TP/SS vs. BotW, it's the region around Death Mountain named Eldin, referencing the golden goddess Din. There's very clearly an intent that is obscured from the reader by separating these. It's especially confusing when policy is against something like this, but allows stuff like Fire Temple, which is three completely unconnected entities whose only link is a broad theme and a generic name.{{SUBST:KrytenKoroSig}} 16:06, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
