A member of [[Telma]]'s resistance, Ashei is a young woman with black hair.  She was raised in the mountains by her father, a Hylian knight, and learnt multiple combat skills from him (she is seen to be carrying a sword, and later on in the game a bow and a quiver of arrows), as well as taking on a somewhat blunt personality and a rough way of speaking (the fact that she tends to end sentences with 'yeah?' could be considered a part of this, as well as the general informality of her speech). It could be said that she is stronger than most men in [[Hyrule]]; at the very least, she seems to have a rather derogatory view of the soldiers of Hyrule, stating at one point that she thought that Hyrule was 'empty of men of valour' and giving the reason she was rude to Link as her thinking that he was like 'one of those sorry excuses for Hyrule soldiers'.
