Black Lynels are recurring enemies and Sub-Bosses in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Characteristics

A Link Between Worlds

Black Lynels appear only in the Treacherous Tower in A Link Between Worlds, on the 49th floor of the Advanced level. They have the same amount of health and deal the same damage as regular Lynels, but have the ability to spit single fireballs in addition to breathing streams of fire.

Other Appearances

Cadence of Hyrule

Template:Sectstub Lynels appear as sub-bosses in Cadence of Hyrule, where they act as the strongest variety of Lynel. Like their weaker counterparts, they move to the beat of the music on every second beat, always crouching before hopping onto an adjacent tile, and drawing their bow when either Cadence, Link, Yves, or Zelda walks within their line of sight. Once their bow is drawn, they will fire an arrow on the following beat, dealing damage to any heroes or enemies that may be in the way. Afterwards, they will reposition themselves until they are able to take aim at the heroes again.

They can be found in caves, dungeons, outside the entrance of the Lost Swamp, and within the Grassland and Forest biomes across Hyrule.
