I'm going to revert that, because while you are correct, Japanese tend to use R over L, and the cane has nothing to do with dancing and the name is probably meant to evoke "Baria" as in "barrier", because it creates a magic barrier.

Transliterating Baira to Baila because when translating バイラ, it means Dance or Dancing. Baila is a more acurrate transliteration because the word Baila actually means Dancing and so there is connection!
