General Background

The Zora Nobles are one of three groups at LegendOfZelda.com. The group consists of forty members, led by shadow, who in addition to being group leader is a Sage and a Sheikah. The Zora Nobles rival both the Kokiri Kids and Goron Elders, competing in various competitions for points and bragging rights. The Zora Nobles nominated Teeler to be their candidate in the LegendOfZelda.com presidential elections.

History

Following various failed attempts at creating a group system on LoZ.com from 2005 to 2007, the Zora Nobles, Goron Elders, and Kokiri Kids were created in September of 2007, with Kandid as group leader for the Zora Nobles. Eventually, the new incarnation of the groups fell into the inactivity that had plagued every previous group system. To revitalize the groups, the leaders, all of whom were forum staff members, were replaced by non-staff, so that the leaders would lend all their attention solely to their group, rather than the management of the entire site. On August 17th 2008, shadow was hired as group leader. Shadow brought a lot of change to the group, including: the closing of the Zora RPG sub board (which was very inactive), the creation of various competitions (including the creation of a new Zora banner by acid-flier), and the management of Zora nomination process in the LegendofZelda.com presidential elections. Currently, the Zora Nobles are the only group not to use the original group banner created by Chance.

Presidential Election

The Zora candidate for the 2009 LoZ.Com Presidential Election was Teeler. He has had numerous ads in the Colosseum supporting him. He resigned 3 days before the election because he was offered a position as mod and accepted, he was not able to continue his campaign because the position as president is reserved for non-staff only. The Zoras were unable to find a replacement for Teeler on such short notice and thus had no representative.

Nomination

Teeler ran against the users Sword of faith, and Dark Hunter(Currently known as BloodyIris). He won the election with Sword of Faith in second, and Dark Hunter in third. He received a great deal of support in this stage of the election, and won by a landslide.
