Update: A discovery has been made that shows a way of beating Dark Link the way the developers most likely intended but remained unknown due to the somewhat obscure way of figuring it out. To beat Dark Link properly with the Master Sword and being locked on to him, you have to alternate between vertical and horizontal slashes until he has an extended stagger animation allowing you to hit him. The default number of alternating slashes is 8 but if you start the next chain of slashes with the slash you last hurt him with it will only take 7 hits. This is especially important to know when Dark Link starts counterattacking and you are attempting a no damage run. | |||
