The "Fairy Fountain" theme has appeared in several Zelda games, and it is most notable for almost always being the background music for the file selection screen. It also serves as the theme for the Fairy Fountains and Great Fairy Fountains that appear throughout the series. It first appeared in the Fairy Fountains of Template:ALTTP. A remixed version of this song can be heard on the Ocarina of Time Re-Arranged Album.
Elements
This theme is very ethereal, with soft, repetitive harmonies and constantly shifting keys. The piece is composed of two main elements: a staccato melody that winds slowly up and down, and a fuller harmony that falls chromatically after every note of the melody.
Trivia
- This song is a remixed version of the map theme for World 3, Water Land, from Super Mario Bros 3.
- A remix of the song is used as part of the Zelda-themed music in Donkey Konga.
