Helmethead (ジャーマフェンサー, Jāmafensā) is the boss of Midoro Palace. His weak point is his head, and he attacks Link by throwing fireballs at him. When Link lands a blow to his head, it will come off and be replaced by another one. The detached head will then begin to float around and attempt to kill Link by shooting more fireballs and running into him. When Link knocks off two helmets, a white head will appear in place of them. This is Helmethead's true head. Once he is defeated, Link returns the crystal to Midoro Palace.

Boss Strategy

To defeat Helmethead, you should rely on the shield. It can guard against the fireballs from the boss and his helmets. Once the battle begins, wait until just after blocking a fireball and then jump and strike his head. Once you do this, it flies off and starts attacking you. Wait for this head to fly to the left side of the screen before attempting to knock off his new one. Once you do this, the battle will intensify greatly. Retreat to the left side of the room to better block their attacks. From this point on, you should continue to wait for an opening and attack when you can. Rushing will only get you killed. Stick to the more cautious strategy and you will have a much easier time with this boss.
