Magic Shield

An item that can be gotten through an easy side-quest in LoZ: The Wind Waker. The item is obtained after trading a 'Sea Flower' purchased at the stall on Windfall Island with a Goron Trader at Greatfish Island for an 'Exotic Flower'. Once Link returns to the stall, the owner rewards Link with the Magic Shield.

The item is a purple-coloured crystal that somewhat resembles Din's Fire from Ocarina of Time. Upon use, a barrier will cover Link, protecting him from taking damage. However, Link can still be sent flying from heavy attacks while the shield is on. Link can even activate the shield while riding the boat, giving him protection from attacks during overseas battles. The Magic Shield slowly drains Link's magic power while active.
