Why Zelda? Why a wiki?

Zelda Wiki.org, also abbreviated ZW.org, was created originally to be the internet's largest encyclopedia of information about The Legend of Zelda series. Having grown beyond that, the staff wished to make ZW.org the most open wiki encyclopedia out there, and literally give its information away to any Zelda fansite that wanted it. Now it is a collaborative effort to maintain the greatest collection of Zelda knowledge on the internet. ZW.org will always be around, and any webmaster of any Zelda site can request ownership of the wiki. We all work together and own it together.

If you're one of those webmasters who'd like to know more about joining the collaborative cause, click here. If not, just stick around and enjoy all of the Zelda info. Perhaps edit and add some information yourself!

Back, and ready for action --Jase 10:46, 1 January 2008 (EST)

I'm back for real this time (not sure if anybody even noticed I'd been a tad gone). I've gotten into college and just come home from a week vacation, so now ZW.org and Zelda Universe are the only things I have to worry about beyond school. This means that I'll be working to get this place a news crew, possibly at least enough to port ZU's news to ZW.org, as well as fixing ZW.org up and keeping it in tip-top shape.

And a very happy new year to all!

Link in Twilight Princess

Link is the protagonist of The Legend of Zelda series. He was created for the original Legend of Zelda game, in 1986 by Shigeru Miyamoto. He has been the central character of all canonical The Legend of Zelda games. He was introduced as a young sword-wielding boy, but, since The Adventure of Link his identity, appearance, and role have changed from game to game. As already confirmed by Miyamoto, there are many different incarnations of Link.
