====Themes and Navigation====
The {{Term|TAoL|Midoro Palace}} is located in {{Term|TAoL|Western Hyrule|link}}, in the {{Term|TAoL|Midoro Swamp|link}}, and holds one of the sacred lecterns in which {{Term|TAoL|Link|link}} has to place a magic {{Term|TAoL|Crystal|link}} so that the final {{Term|TAoL|Dungeon|link}} in the game, the {{Term|TAoL|Great Palace|link}}, can be accessed.

This {{Term|TAoL|Dungeon}} is slightly more difficult than the first one. The keys rise in number, there are more rooms, and, throughout the palace, {{Term|TAoL|Link}} finds himself blocked from other rooms by huge stone blocks. He finds the {{Term|TAoL|Power Glove}} within the palace walls, which increases his sword's mobility, allows him to break the stone rocks with his sword, and helps him defeat {{Term|TAoL|Jermafenser}}, the {{Term|TAoL|Dungeon}}'s {{Term|TAoL|Boss|link}}. The architecture is based on blue-colored blocks, making the {{Term|TAoL|Dungeon}}'s interior more visually elegant than {{Term|TAoL|Parapa Palace|link}}. No {{Term|TAoL|Magic|link}} is mandatory, although ''{{Term|TAoL|Jump|link}}'' and ''{{Term|TAoL|Life|link}}'' make it easier for {{Term|TAoL|Link}} to survive.

In the Japanese version, {{Plural|TAoL|Blue Octorok|link}} appear in this palace; in international versions, these are replaced by blue {{Plural|TAoL|Aneru|link}}.

In {{TCT}}, the {{Term|TCT|Midoro Palace}} plays an important role in the game since it is the location in which {{Term|TCT|Link|link}} gets imprisoned by {{Term|TCT|Ganon|link}}.

At the beginning of the book, {{Term|TCT|Link}} and {{Term|TCT|Princess Zelda|link}} are running inside the {{Term|TCT|Midoro Palace}} trying to escape from {{Term|TCT|Ganon}}'s grasp, and they eventually find themselves in a tunnel below the palace. However, the evil wizard finds them and, after struggling, encases {{Term|TCT|Link}} in a {{Term|TCT|Crystal|link}}. {{Term|TCT|Ganon}} explains that since he cannot obtain the {{Term|TCT|Triforce|section=Triforce of Courage|display=Triforce of Courage|link}} and {{Term|TCT|Triforce|section=Triforce of Wisdom|display=Triforce of Wisdom}} from {{Term|TCT|Link}} and Zelda respectively, he used a {{Term|TCT|Magic Scroll|link}} which cast a spell to encase both pieces of the {{Term|TCT|Triforce}}, including the {{Term|TCT|Triforce}} of Courage encased in {{Term|TCT|Link}}'s heart.<ref name=courage>{{Cite Book| quote='I already have the Triforce of Power, but I need all three parts of the Triforce to complete my hold on Hyrule. Since I cannot get the Triforces of Courage and Wisdom from you, then you shall not be able to use them, either,' he says. 'With this magic scroll, I have cast a spell to encase them in unbreakable crystal. Of course, since the Triforce of Courage is in Link's heart, I'm afraid the poor boy will have to be shut up in the crystal also. Sorry about that.'|book= TCT|publisher= | page= 65}}</ref> Zelda is now forced to seek the three items dictated in the {{Term|TCT|Fairy's Scroll|link}} that will help free {{Term|TCT|Link}} from the {{Term|TCT|Crystal}}, but she has just 24 hours before the young hero gets trapped inside the crystal forever.<ref>{{Cite Book| quote='Not likely,' says Ganon. 'There's only one way to break the crystal, and I don't think you'll ever figure it out, or find the three things you need. By this time tomorrow, Link will be trappedi n the crystal forever!'|book= TCT|publisher= | page= 65}}</ref>

It is at this point that Zelda can decide whether to stay with {{Term|TCT|Link}} or go look for help. By deciding to stay with the young hero, Zelda will be attacked by {{Plural|TCT|Boomerang Demon|link}}, and although she is able to fend off the first few attackers with the use of {{Term|TCT|Zelda's Dagger|display=her dagger|link}}, she must choose to leave or else she will meet her death at the hand of the demons.<ref>{{Cite Book|quote=Zelda ducks just as a flaming boomerang demon rams into the wall above her.|book= TCT |publisher= |page=36}}</ref>

If, however, the princess chooses to go look for help immediately, a swarm of {{Plural|TCT|Tektite|link}} will attack her, but she will quickly and easily dispose of them using {{Term|TCT|Zelda's Bow|display=her bow|link}} and dagger. Just as Zelda is about to leave the palace, she notices a quiver full of {{Plural|TCT|Magic Arrow|link}} and will take them, which turn out to be helpful later on in her journey.<ref>{{Cite Book|quote=Just as she's about to leave, though, she sees something lying in a small alcove. It's a quiver full of arrows! They're marked with strange runes and symbols. 'Should I take them?' she wonders. 'They might be evil--but I sure could use them.'|book= TCT |publisher= |page= 29}}</ref>

Once {{Term|TCT|Princess Zelda}} obtains the three items necessary to free {{Term|TCT|Link}} from the {{Term|TCT|Crystal}}, she will return to the {{Term|TCT|Midoro Palace}} and use the {{Term|TCT|Magnifying Glass|link}}, the {{Term|TCT|Honeycomb|link}} and the {{Term|TCT|Handprint|link}} to shatter it. {{Term|TCT|Link}} and Zelda can now either decide to go deeper into the palace or leave. If they decide to go deeper into the palace, a blue {{Term|TCT|Goriya|link}} will come from behind and attack the pair. Zelda then shoots an arrow at the {{Term|TCT|Goriya}}, who says that if the pair spares his life, he will show them a powerful weapon: a {{Term|TCT|Battle Axe|link}}, which is the only thing that can defeat {{Term|TCT|Ganon}}.<ref>{{Cite Book|quote='Spare me and I'll show you a powerful weapon,' the monster pleads. 'A battle axe. It's the only thing that can defeat Ganon, and I know where it is.'|book= TCT|publisher= |page=13}}</ref> Following the {{Term|TCT|Goriya}} will lead the heroes to find the {{Term|TCT|Battle Axe}}; however, this will eventually lead to a Game Over in the book since the true weapon needed to defeat the evil wizard is the {{Term|TCT|Spear|link}}.
