"That's a Nejiron. Don't get too close to it. Sniff...Sniff... It smells like gun powder!" - Tatl

This awkward enemy haunts the Ikana Road located in Termina in Majora's Mask. Strangely, they are composed of gun powder, and are therefore highly volatile to either touch or attack, and will rupture and explode with the slightest bit of stress. They spend their lives under the ground, but when an intruder comes into its domain, it will pop out of the earth in search of its prey. It is not known why, but the Nejiron wears the outer shell of what appears to be a Goron with only its lower body and eyes showing from its "disguise". It is also highly suicidal and will self-destruct when touched or hit. In his journeys, Link found out that it was best to avoid the enemies all together unless necessary, in which hitting them long-range with arrows was best. The easiest way to avoid a Nejiron was to wear the Stone Mask. Nejiron will attack foes by rolling at them, which can cause minimal or even no damage if the victim has obtained a Heart Upgrade.

The Japanese word "Neji" means twisted or warped, whereas the suffix, -ron, may refer to a Goron. This may imply that a Nejiron is simply a twisted version of a Goron.

Description from Zelda.com:
Nejirons appear to be simple creatures, but they are in fact highly evolved hunting machines. They have adapted to resemble a rolling Goron, but instead of passing by peacefully, a Nejiron will charge ruthlessly into is victim.[1]
