is the OoA of OoA, the sixth OoA in OoA.

A relative of an Octorok, this enemy is nearly identical to it's cousin save for it's color and size, being around three times as large. This enemy does not really attack in most games, instead, it acts as an obstacle. Link had a few ways to defeat this behemoth. In Link's Awakening, these could only be knocked into pits for them to be vanquished. In A Link to the Past, there were two varieties: The blue octogons took three hits to kill with Link's Uncle's sword. The red variety took many hits before falling by the same sword. The blue kind also appeared in Four Swords Adventures, where Link could either knock them into pits to kill them, stun them with the Boomerang and slash them several times, or use the Roc's Feather to jump over them and come down on them with his sword.
Characteristics
OoA is a variant of an OoA battled in a water-filled room with a narrow strip of land in the center, on which there are two OoA that drop OoA when broken. OoA circles the room while facing away from OoA, using its large shell as a shield against OoA's attacks. When OoA turns around to spit a rock, OoA can use his OoA or OoA to strike the OoA in the face. The OoA can also be used to bounce off the walls and damage OoA while it faces away from OoA.

----
After being hit several times, OoA will partially submerge in the water while still circling the room, forcing OoA to follow it underwater with the aid of the OoA. If OoA remains above water while OoA is submerged, or vice versa, OoA will begin to shoot fireballs from its blowhole, which rain back down and split into multiple fireballs.

When both OoA and the OoA are underwater, it will begin to attack by chasing and ramming into OoA. Periodically it will spit an air bubble which entraps OoA for several seconds if hit by it. OoA can damage OoA with the OoA as he attempts to swim away from it. After several more hits, OoA returns to the water's surface to repeat its plan of attack. Once OoA is defeated, a OoA appears and the door to the OoA is opened.

In Oracle of Ages, it acts as the Boss of the Mermaid's Cave. It is unexplained why this creature lacks the ability to spit rocks like it's relative, but the Octogon may explain the origin of the Big Octo, who ultimately took the Octogon's place in later games, such as Ocarina of Time, where it plays as a Mini-boss of the Dungeon:"Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly."
