Template:Character The Philosopher is a character in A Link Between Worlds. He is the Lorulean counterpart of the Priest.

Biography

The Philosopher is a somber man who resides in what is the Lorulean counterpart of the Sanctuary in Hyrule. When Link lights the torch in his dwelling, he remarks that it has been years since he's been exposed to light,[1] but he tells Link that the light is useless, as darkness is prevailing because nobody honors the gods.[2] As a result, he believes that the end of the world is near. Afterwards, the Philosopher considers whether the people of Lorule have abandoned the gods, or if the gods have abandoned the people.[3]
