Biography
Rotana is an archaeologist who lives in Gerudo Town.[1] Link can begin "The Seven Heroines" Shrine Quest by speaking to her. Rotana tells Link of a temple to the east near the entrance of Gerudo Desert.[2] She tells Link that the temple is dedicated to giant statues of the seven heroines who once protected the region of Gerudo.[3] Rotana also tells Link of an ancient scripture she discovered there, that Link must use as a hint to complete the Quest.[4] After finishing the "The Seven Heroines," if Link speaks to Rotana again, she is ecstatic that the new Shrine at the temple must be a trial given to her by the seven heroines.[5] She believes that she will be the star of the archaeological society after she beats the trial, unaware that Link has already completed it.[1]
Trivia
- Pearle can be found sleeping in Rotana's house at night, suggesting that Pearle is her daughter.
