Talk:The Legend of Zelda (Valiant Comics)
Some info is wrong on this page... maybe not a lot?
I don't really know how to edit wiki's, (I'm in the middle of doing my own thing so I haven't had the time to sit down and look at the tutorials.. heck, I haven't even had time to fully check this whole page for what is what) but, for example, look at the numbers on the cover images here and compare them to what they're listed as. I also think some chapters might be mixed up but I'm not sure at the moment. If anyone gets to this, and can't figure it out for some reason, contact me or something; I have fresher scans perhaps. - Okay, wow- So, I just went through my copies and the Zelda Power scans. The alt covers? http://www.valiantfan.com/valiant/title.asp?tc=ovz&u=4 They seem to hold alternate content~ or something. My friend scanned me her #1-5, plus #7, and there's no Queen of Hearts! (Forgive any small title's I skip, it's 2 in the morning, I'll come back to this and edit)
- Mine: # 1: The Prologue, Missing in Action, Trust me. #2 He Also Serves, Thief in the Night. #3 The Power, The Price. #4 To the First Power, It's Good to be the King. #5 The Day of the Triforce, Coming Home. #7 Assault, Choices.
- Zelda Powers (their numbering): #1 He also Serves, Missing in Action. #2 To the First Power, Trust Me. #3 The Power, The Price. #4 Queen of Hearts, Thief in the Night. #5(no.7 on the cover) Assault, Choices (Prologue is separate)
- I wonder if this starts to answer the question of what happened to number 6. The oddities seem to be "It's good to be the King" and Queen of Hearts" I wonder if there is another chapter out there. Anyone know of any other sites not using the Zelda Power zips? Maybe we can find all the versions! ( Seems to have them both listed: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Comicbook/TheLegendOfZelda ) *excited* Melora 05:20, 5 December 2010 (EST)
Issue #6
Does anyone have an image of the issue #6 cover, or at least the title? It's one of the few issues I don't have, and I can't find anything on it anywhere. Thanks. —Alter {T C B H } 23:15, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
Shotaro Isinomori
I have read all of the Valiant Comics and cannot find Shotaro Isinomori's name anywhere in the credits, either for writing or illustrating. Not only are the comics not drawn in his style, it seems the North Castle site was mistaken and mistook Isinomori's writing the ALttP comic for writing the Valiant Comics. I cannot find reference to Isinomori being affiliated with Valiant in any way. Just take a glance at his Wikipedia page. It mentions that he did do the ALttP comic, but says nothing about the Valiant Comics. Look through the comics and Isinomori's name isn't mentioned anywhere. Simply because a fan site says he wrote these comics doesn't make it true.Ganondorfdude11 05:56, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
- The writing credits for the first issue include George Caragonne, Rudy Nebres, and Ken Lopez, but no Shotaro Isinomori in sight. Ganondorfdude11 06:00, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
- You seem to be right. His name has popped up under Valiant comics in several other places, but I too have never seen his name in the actual comics. I'll go try to dig up more info. Keep in mind that this page is still under construction. It's probably just all of these sites copying each other again...
- I'm not sure an issue six even exists. Probably a printing error. Or maybe issue six was a special or something and not a part of the main series. Anyway, I can't find six anywhere and it's most likely they just skipped a number. Comic books do that some times, like how Whiz Comics debuted at issue #2. The publishers? How on earth will you do that?—Justin(Talk) 02:49, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
