Red-Tusked Boars are a type of Boar that commonly reside in Akkala. They are known for the black fur and red tusks, the latter of which is the source of their name.[3] Red-Tusked Boars are considered to be significantly stronger than Woodland Boars, and it is advised to be cautious while hunting them.[3]
On occasion, Red-Tusked Boars will charge towards Link when they spot him nearby. However, they will not do so if Link is riding a Horse. More commonly, they will flee if startled. When slain, Red-Tusked Boars produce between two to three pieces of Raw Prime Meat.
