{{Plural|SSHD|Water Fruit}} are found growing from floors, walls, and ceilings. They consist of a thin stalk culminating in a large, spiny, green pod. As the name suggests, this pod is filled with {{Term|SSHD|Water (Terrain)|link}}. Touching the {{Term|SSHD|Water Fruit|display=Fruit}} with his body harms {{Term|SSHD|Link|link}}, but he can safely make use of the {{Term|SSHD|Water Fruit|display=Fruit}} by severing the stem with the {{Term|SSHD|Beetle (Item)|link}} or by skewering the {{Term|SSHD|Water Fruit|display=Fruit}} on his {{Term|SSHD|Sword|link}} to carry it.

All of {{Term|SSHD|Link}}'s uses for {{Plural|SSHD|Water Fruit}} have to do with using their internal fluid to quench dangerous heat. If a {{Term|SSHD|Water Fruit}}'s {{Term|SSHD|Water (Terrain)}} is deposited in the mouth of one of the {{Plural|SSHD|Thirsty Frog|link}} found in and around the {{Term|SSHD|Fire Sanctuary|link}}, the corresponding {{Term|SSHD|Flame Wall|link}} will be deactivated.  If the {{Term|SSHD|Water (Terrain)}} from the {{Term|SSHD|Water Fruit|display=Fruit}} is dropped into {{Term|SSHD|Lava|link}}, it cools the {{Term|SSHD|Lava}} around the point of impact enough to solidify it and create a {{Term|SSHD|Lava Slab|link}} that {{Term|SSHD|Link}} can stand on without injury, similar to the {{Plural|TWWHD|Water Pot|link}} in {{Term|TWWHD|Dragon Roost Cavern|link}} in {{TWW}}. If there is a current in the {{Term|SSHD|Lava}}, {{Term|SSHD|Link}} can ride the {{Term|SSHD|Lava Slab|display=Slab}} in the direction of the current. These platforms are temporary, though, as eventually the heat of the surrounding {{Term|SSHD|Lava}} causes them to re-melt. Fortuitously, on moving {{Term|SSHD|Lava}} platforms this generally does not happen until they reach their destination. Lastly, {{Plural|SSHD|Water Fruit}} may be used to make {{Plural|SSHD|Magmanos|link}} vulnerable by solidifying them, in a fashion resembling the use of the {{Term|ST|Sand Wand|link}} to make {{Plural|ST|Gerune|link}} vulnerable in {{ST}}. Once the {{Term|SSHD|Magmanos}} is solid, {{Term|SSHD|Link}} can dispatch it with repeated {{Term|SSHD|Sword}} blows.

In {{HW|L}} and {{HW|DE}}, {{Plural|HWDE|Water Fruit}} appear as {{Term|HWDE|Plant|link}}-type {{Plural|HWDE|Food|link}}. They are imbued with the {{Term|HWDE|Water|link}} {{Term|HWDE|Element|link}}. When consumed by a {{Term|HWDE|Companion Fairy|link}} in the {{Term|HWDE|Dining Room|link}} of the {{Term|HWDE|My Fairy|link}} mode, {{Term|HWDE|Water}} can increase the {{Term|HWDE|Companion Fairy|display=Fairy}}'s {{Term|HWDE|Trust|link}} level and personality traits.
