The Sacred Realm is a long running Zelda fan website that focuses on fan works while also providing typical game information and media for each Zelda game. It is also the official forum of the fan film, The Hero of Time. The website was created and is updated by Lysia.

History

The site originally launched with the title The Legend, but years after its initial it was renamed to Legends and Adventure. On April 25, 2009, Legends and Adventure officially became known as The Sacred Realm.

On May 4th, 2009, The Sacred Realm joined the Zelda Wiki collaboration project.

Legends Place

Legends Place, often referred to as LP by most, is the forum on The Sacred Realm. It is an active community that has won the Golden Light Arrow Award from Exploding Deku Nut. When the main site moved, the forum took on a whole new look. For a while, the site was rarely updated, but since the overhaul, the site is frequently updated. The most recent additions are several fan fictions and a "Choose Your Own Adventure" book from the glory days. This site is affiliated with Kasuto.net, North Castle, Rauru's Return, Desert Colossus, Exploding Deku Nut, Gerudo Language, Knights of Hyrule, MCLoZ, Zelda Dungeon, Zelda Europe, Zelda Forums, Zelda-Infinite, Zelda Oracles, and Zelda Temple.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere of Legends Place is one of the many driving forces of why it does so well. It's not too big or overwhelming and the community is strong. Many friendships were made. One may say that the main reason why LP thrives so well is due to it's creator, Lysia. she set up important( but reasonable ) rules. respect others, no trolling, no flamming, no double posting( which some places allow, but it gets rather annoying ) and similar.

It could also be the awesome moderation team which makes Legends Place so great. Allow me to shin the light the moderators for a second. Because without them we would be up to our necks in spambots.

Moderation Team

• SaviourSeph: What makes this man a great moderator? Is it his incredibly razor sharp wit and almost genius IQ? Is it his addiction to coffee and insomniatic properties which keeps him up and ready to kick ass at weird hours of the night? Or is it something else? you decide. but whatever the outcome of your decision. You can't deny it. This is one force to be reckoned with.

• LastMagic: A man who stands by his set of morals. you'll be hard-pressed to find anyone as nice as him. He brings a certain quality to LP. We haven't figured out what quality he brings, but he brings it, we like it, it's good. =P.

• Willow: what can be said about Willow? This amazing Beatles loving gal has a heart that goes beyond gold. She once baffled a room of scientists when they tried to perform tests on her to figure out how she can be so nice...naw, that didn't actually happen. But it could. =P. she's also awesome too. You'd never think that a person on her scale of "niceness" would ever be a fan of such shows as South Park or Jackass. Making her the nicest, most awesome person in the world.

• Jaerlost: What can be said about this dude? He takes what he does seriously. He's got that big, beastly type outer-persona while in reality is a sweetheart from within. He's a member of a rather interesting band. And he knows how to have a good time. but, all in all. He's Defenently someone you'd want as a friend.

• MintyLim: Where to begin. First off, her great mixture of awesome moderating and great sarcasm is one of the many aspects of why we love her as a moderator. Secondly, her personality. Her fashion sense( A lovely mixture of old and new fashions ) is a lovely departure from both the conformists and the non. It's so nice to see someone who doesn't try to fit in with what she wears but has a tremendous amount of "Fashion Sense". her own style, if you will.

• Flago: This gentleman too, has quite the Fashion sense. Except his is mostly surreal or fantasy derived. Which is good. We all need our own styles. Moderation skills are awesome as well as his personality. He's also a huge Alice in Wonderland( as a whole ) fan. So if you share this love, you and he would probably make great friends. =P.

• Aeris: Lastly we have Aeris. What can be said about her? From her name you could guess that she is a fan of Aeris from Final Fantasy 7. And hating Tifa with a passion. =P. Her moderation skills are as good as any. And she isn't afraid to call someone out if need be. She's one girl you better not underestimate. =P.

Member Spotlight

Here I will "spotlight" a few members you're more then likely to meet if you ever decide to become a part of this great community.

• Goldcut: A filmmaker on the rise. sure, he's still new now, but just you wait. In a few years from now he could be in the film world. Making movies and taking names. He's started off like most of todays generation of filmmakers. Youtube. He goes by goldcut if you're interested. Goldcut, if he sees something in his film he doesn't like, he will yell cut. =P. He's also a musician in a band. There music may not be the worlds best but it's a lot better then a great deal of the tripe out there.

• Dr. Pink: He's a dude and he likes Pink. And he wears that proudly like a badge. He started the whole "Pink" persona a few years back a a joke and now continues to use it as a symbol of his morals and beliefs. Far too many out there consider Pink a girly color and only gay men use it. Dr. Pink is here to stand strong against that. With morals against racism, sexism, sexual orientation discrimination and a strong femminist, as well as a deep love of both cooking and fashion, how can you not love "The Pink Dude"?. He too has aspirations to be a filmmaker( Among so many other things ) and also has a youtube account. He still doesn't own a proper camera yet so don't expect much, but if you're interested type in The Emo tomato and if you see one made by DrPink64....you guessed it....that's him on a rather lackluster webcam. :).

• EA: While she doesn't log in as much as she used to, if you ever see her on consider that day the best day ever. So be ready for lolage and wtfage. Because her brand of humor, super sarcasm and generous bounts of insanity make her the awesomest person living or dead. And, if she doesn't make you lol, well, you're actually quite alone there. =P.

• Setu_Firestorm: Be on the lookout for this dude and his music. A composer extraordinaire with a personality that equally matches his great work. He did the music on the upcoming Zelda Fan film "The Hero of time" on top of doing his own originals. You can check those out at his Newgrounds page. He also has a thing( Putting that generously =P ) for world of Warcraft and is in fact a great singer with a beautiful voice. You absolutely need to hear it. =P.
