Phantom Hourglass
The Anouki first appeared in Phantom Hourglass on the Isle of Frost. The Anouki's enemy are the Yook and a peace agreement 100 years before the events in Phantom Hourglass gave the Anouki the western side of the isle and the Yook the eastern side. The Anouki are small humanoid creatures, with antlers growing from the cranium. Spirit Tracks
The Anouki reappear in Spirit Tracks, apparently having moved from the Isle of Frost to the new Hyrule's Snow Realm, and establishing Anouki Village.
The Anouki were facing a threat of monsters, and the chief Honcho requested that Link pair off the villagers into squads to fight back. However, the Anouki of Hyrule are very fickle, only working with those meeting their specific requirements.
One Anouki works at the village's spring, creating Mega Ice, an ice so cold it can freeze lava.
