Purpose

The above value is a constant that may be used in several templates.

Applying this class to an image thumbnail causes it to be rendered using nearest-neighbor interpolation, which is ideal for 2D screenshots. Nearest-neighbor interpolation is automatically applied to files ending in Sprite.png—see MediaWiki:Gadget-Site.css.
