::It's not a good idea to justify articles by comparing them to worser ones :S But yeah, we've been told to halt merging for a bit and focus on other things. This doesn't alter my philosophy of leaner wikis being better than bloated ones. But since recent merges have tanked the article count, consensus says to aim for other targets for awhile. I disagree with this but will comply and still mark articles to be merged, just won't be actually merging any until I find out what sort of Article Quota must be maintained. In my opinion I think the Stats Page should focus on Featured Content thusly putting Quality first.
